Kid Car NY provides age and weight appropriate car seats through its Kid Car Seat Rental service. Parents can learn how to properly install their car seat by adding Kid Car Seat Check to their order. Kid Car NY will also deliver and pick up your car seat, subject to certain restrictions.

The Kid Car Calculator can help determine the appropriate car seat for your child. Please keep in mind that:
- •Children should ride in a rear-facing car seat for as long as possible.
- •Toddlers should ride in forward-facing child safety seats with harnesses as long as possible.
- •School-age children should ride in booster seats until the adult seat belt fits properly
(usually 4'9" and 80-100lbs).

Kid Car NY offers the following car seats:
Children 0-1, 5-23lbs: Graco Snugride Infant Car Seat
Children 0-6, 5-65lbs: Britax Boulevard (rear or forward-facing)
Children 1-6, 22-65lbs: Safety First Go Hybrid
Children 5+, Clek Booster Seat
We will make every attempt to provide you with your preferred seat, but please note that the following seats are interchangeable from a safety perspective:
Graco Snugride = Britax Boulevard (Rear-facing)
Britax Boulevard (Forward-facing) = Safety First Go Hybrid (5-point)
Kid Car Seat Rental
Families renting cars in New York City can rent the right car seat for their child and vehicle. Kid Car Seat Check is available for parents that would like to learn the proper installation of the car seat. There is a 2 day minimum for all car seat rentals and seats must be returned in the same condition to avoid cleaning fees. After a daily 3-hour grace period, partial days are billed as full days.
Kid Car Seat Check
Families that want to make sure their car seat is properly installed (80-90% are not, according to the AAP) can make an appointment with Kid Car NY to learn how to properly install their rented car seat.
Kid Car Seat Delivery
Kid Car NY will deliver and pick up your car seat if you live in a doorman building or are staying in a hotel where you can drop off the car seat with the concierge. Please understand that regardless of who you leave the car seat with, you are responsible for the seat until a Kid Car NY representative picks it up.

How does delivery work?
In order for us to pickup or drop off your car seat, you must either be in a doorman building or staying in a hotel with a concierge. A Kid Car NY driver will leave the seat under your name and will pick it up when you are done with it. The renter assumes responsibility for the car seat at all times until it is picked up by a Kid Car NY representative.
What if my kid gets sick in the seat?
In the event that a child becomes sick or soils a car seat, Kid Car NY will make a good faith effort to clean the car seat by hand per the manufacturer's instructions. If the car seat can not be adequately cleaned to management's satisfaction, the parent will be responsible for the replacement cost of the car seat (including shipping). If the replacement cost exceeds $100, Kid Car NY will provide the car seat to the parent at the parent's request (parent assumes all shipping costs).

We will make sure you are comfortable properly installing each 'type' of car seat. There are four types (unique installation), but the similarities are such that once you know one, you will likely know the rest:
